Melvin L. Smith 60, of Homer, passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2015 in Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Melvin was born September 17, 1954 in Ithaca the son of the late Victor and Gene Sanderson Smith.
Melvin was a Farmer, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Melvin is survived by his wife Nancy Moulton Smith of Homer, his children: Tina (Michael) Rich, Melissa (Shawn Guyette) Smith, and Mason (Lisa) Akins, his granddaughters Ella, Sunny, Sequia, and Peyton.
His canine companions Zoey and Rocky.
In addition to his parents Melvin was predeceased by his brother Marvin.
At Melvin’s request there are no services.
A celebration of Melvin's life will be scheduled at a later date.
