Sharon Ann Hughes - Plumadore 71, of Cortland passed away May 14, 2015 at Cortland Regional Medical Center.
Sharon was born July 12, 1943, in Carthage, the daughter of the late Harold and Hilda Wilson Hughes.
Sharon had a very strong belief and faith in her religion, and was an avid reader of the bible.
Sharon had been employed by Smith Corona for 22 years, she had also been employed by Durkee‘s Bakery in Cortland, and Hilltop Nursing Home in Binghamton.
Sharon is survived by her children Keith (Michelle Farron) Plumadore of Cortland, Daniel (Becky) Plumadore of Cortland, her brother Harold Hughes Jr. of Florida, sisters Nancy Jean Hughes of Rochester, Laverne Hughes of Watertown, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Sharon was predeceased by a daughter Tina Marie Plumadore, and brother Richard Hughes.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call from 11:00 – 12:00 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions in Sharon’s name may be directed to the American Cancer Association 13 Beach St. Johnson City, NY 13790
