Obituary of Donald R. Ladd

Donald R. Ladd II, 38, of Scott NY, passed away unexpectedly May 11, 2015. He was born January 29, 1977 in Cortland, NY. Don was a 1996 graduate of Homer High School. He went to tractor trailer driving school and received his CDL and had been employed with Alnye Trucking. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, mud bogs, and was a true outdoorsman. His family and friends will remember him as loving son, brother, uncle, and cousin. He will be remembered as a truly exceptional friend to many. He is survived by his mother Barbara (James) Nickelsen, his father Marc Ladd, his sisters Jennifer (David) George, Sara Ladd,his step brother James Nickelsen, II, step sister Jammie (Dave) Hammon, his nephew David, step niece and nephew Nicole and Matthew, aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends. Calling hours will be held Friday 11 am-1:45 pm with a memorial service to begin 2 pm at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY.
