Obituary of Jo Ann Bollinger

Jo Ann Bollinger 69, formally of Cortland, passed away November 9, 2014 in Bridgeport, Ct. Jo Ann was born Sept 21, 1945 in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Albert and Christina Bellor Rising. Jo Ann enjoyed sewing, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jo Ann is survived by her children Catherine (Mike) Quail of Marathon, Daniel (Peg Thorp) Bollinger of Cortland, and James Bollinger Jr. of Bridgeport Ct. a special grandson Matthew Bollinger, whom she raised and stood by her through thick and thin. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her sister Marjorie Van Slyke of Syracuse. In addition to her parents Jo Ann was predeceased by her husband James Bollinger Sr and daughter Melissa DiShaw. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm Friday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home 9 Lincoln Ave. Cortland. Interment will follow in Virgil Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 10:00 am – 11:45 am.
