Obituary of Anna Marie Belonsoff

Anna Marie "Ginny" Belonsoff, 91, formerly of Summerhill NY, and Walden Place, passed away September 11, 2014 at Cortland Park and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer's. She was born August 1, 1923 in Flemington NJ, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Oraschen. Mrs. Belonsoff was raised and educated in New Jersey. She relocated to the Summerhill area in 1968. She worked on the family dairy farm along with working at the Green Arch Restaurant and Cortland Country Club. After the closing of the family dairy farm, she then co-owned and operated the Country Kitchen in Summerhill with her husband. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She is survived by her sons Walter "Bud" (Jane) Belonsoff Jr. of Summerhill NY, Frank (Kathy) Belonsoff of Groton NY, four grandchildren Walter "Buddy" (Jennifer) Belonsoff III of Syracuse NY, JoAnna Lyn (Patrick) Verhoest of Newton Mass., Frank (Erica) Belonsoff Jr. of Groton NY, Michael Belonsoff of Groton NY, three great grandchildren Julia Belonsoff, Emma Verhoest, Joshua Verhoest, and several nieces. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the St. Mary's Cemetery next to her late husband Walter who died in 1989.
