Marjorie M. Russell, 97, of Village Park, Cortland, NY, passed away September 11, 2014. She was born on April 26, 1917 in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Norman and Ethel McJunkin. She was raised and attended schools in New Rochelle, NY and Sullins College, Bristol, VA. She was the widow of Charles F. Russell of Roanoke, VA, who died in 1957. She was also preceded in death by a brother Reed McJunkin , and sister, Dorothy Weston. Surviving are a son William (Sandra) Russell of Canton, NY a daughter Jean (Anthony) Vertucci of Baldwinsville, NY: 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. At Marjorie’s request there are no calling hours. Private services and interment will be at Cortland Rural Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
