Florence Irene Biviano, 90, of Cortland passed away August 8, 2014 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center Nursing Facility. She was born April 30, 1924 in Cortland the daughter of the late Harris and Emma Wright Jones. Irene was a lifelong resident of the area. She had been employed with Crescent Corset, co proprietor of Ithaca Seafoods with her husband, and lastly as a child care provider for the Cortland Child Development Center. Irene enjoyed knitting, baking, and dancing. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She is survived by her three sons Carmen Biviano of Cortland, Craig (Connie) Biviano of Homer, Mark Biviano of Cortland, her two grandchildren Kaitlyn and Kiersten Biviano of Homer, her sister Alice Clough of Florida, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Irene was predeceased by her husband Charles Biviano and her brother Ceylon Jones. Calling hours will be Tuesday 9:30 -11:15 am with a funeral service to begin 11:30 am at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY.
