Obituary of Frank Robert Ferro

Frank Robert "Bob" Ferro, 76, of Cortland, passed away April 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born June 18, 1937 in Cortland the son of the late Celestino and Lena Ferro. Bob was a lifelong resident of Cortland. He was a talented and skilled electrician who worked for various construction companies. He retired from Dowzer Electric in 1999. Bob was a member of the Cortland Volunteer Fire Dept., Hitchcock Hose #6 for 52 years. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, cooking, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He is survived by his wife of 51 yrs. Patricia Kelley Ferro, his daughters Lori (Dave) Johnson, Gail (Tom) Beattie, his grandchildren Shawn (Mary) Allen, Jonathon Allen, and Connor Beattie, his siblings Mary Patriarco, Anna Pennello, Tina Paul, Sammy (Maybelle) Ferro, Patty Durkee, Richard (Marie) Ferro, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Bob was predeceased by his brother James Ferro and his sister Esther Ferro Stiles. Calling hours will be Saturday 10-11:45 am with a funeral service to begin 12 noon with Fr. Joseph Zareski presiding at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9Lincoln Ave., Cortland NY, 13045.
